Having experienced the peace and tranquility in the beautiful mountains at Suan Pa Himmawan in Loei Province, during the Beginner’s and Intermediate Level Seven-day Meditation Retreat Courses, we invite you to give yourself a much deserved break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life by embarking on a serene adventure near the Dhammakaya Temple. Surrounded by calm waters and shady trees, at the Power of Peace House or ‘POP House’, you will learn about Buddhist culture, practice meditation, and listen to Dhamma lectures, which you will be able to apply in your daily lives.

You will also have the opportunity to practice meditation in the more picturesque setting of the “Suk Sawang Retreat Center” in Chiang Mai. This center is located at an altitude of more than 700 meters above sea level, offering its temporary residents mild temperatures, and enabling you to enjoy the view of its beautiful skies right from the meditation hall. We welcome you to experience this all at the One Month Middle Way (Advanced) Course.

Advanced Course

This course is for one month duration and is aimed at all those participants who have already completed the Intermediate course or similar one.

It is advised that you should be already be practicing meditation on a daily basis and it will be important to have some basic knowledge of Buddhism, and understanding in the Triple Gem (Buddha, Dhamma and Sangha).

The course offers 4 sessions each day with a minimum of 1-hours meditation practice or more. The Venerable monks will offer teaching sessions with a deeper level of knowledge in Dhamma. Participants will have a chance to learn more how to apply the Dhamma to daily life, giving life by releasing fish, Practice generosity by do alms offering, Tour along Luang Pu Wat Paknam’s path and meet with Abbot and the Vice Abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya

Phase I: Application Period (Applications due September 15, 2010)

Email info@meditationthai.org to register your interest and request the MS Word application form to be emailed to you. Please edit and complete this form and send it back.

After we review your application, we will contact you for a personal interview to be conducted at your local Dhammakaya branch or by phone with the Middle Way Team.
